FAQ
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The video is processed by your own browser, on your phone or computer, with a free video engine (ffmpeg). It never reaches our server, so private and family videos stay private.
Does the sound change with the speed?
Yes, it speeds up or slows down with the picture but keeps its normal pitch, so voices don't sound like chipmunks or robots. You can also remove the sound.
Why does my slow-motion video look jerky?
Slowing a normal 30 fps video to 0.25× shows each frame four times as long. For smooth slow motion, record in your phone's slow-motion (high frame rate) mode first.
How long will the new video be?
The tool shows it before you start: at 2× a 1-minute video becomes 30 seconds, at 0.5× it becomes 2 minutes.
Does it reduce the quality?
The video is re-encoded at high quality, so the difference is very hard to see. Sped-up videos are saved at up to 60 frames per second.
